August 11, 2008 - ARNOLD PALMER AND RICHARD PETTY WILL ATTEND WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP OPENING CEREMONY

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Two of the greatest icons in sports will attend the Wyndham Championship opening ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 on the first tee at Sedgefield Country Club, it was announced today. The event is open to the public. The first round of the 69th annual Wyndham Championship begins Thursday morning, Aug. 14.
Both Arnold Palmer and Richard Petty are celebrating 50th anniversaries in 2008. Palmer won his first green jacket at The Masters in 1958, the same year Petty began racing in NASCAR. Palmer and Petty will join defending Wyndham champion Brandt Snedeker at the opening ceremony. Snedeker will hit the ceremonial first tee shot officially bringing the Wyndham Championship home to Sedgefield Country Club.

“Any tournament director is always looking for the ‘wow’ factor sometime during the event,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “We definitely have it with two sports icons that are both known as ‘The King in their respective sports.’ With Arnold’s history at our tournament and Wake Forest and Richard’s record in NASCAR with a team that was based just down the road in Level Cross, we have two Piedmont Triad legends that are among the greatest ever to compete in their sports. It will be a thrill and an honor to host them at the Wyndham Championship.”

The event will also include a special presentation to the Victory Junction Gang Camp that will be accepted by Pattie and Kyle Petty. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is the official charity of the Wyndham Championship. Anyone attending the Lincoln Financial Pro-Am at Sedgefield on Wednesday is invited to attend the opening ceremony; pro-am tickets are just $15 and can be purchased at the gate or by visiting www.wyndhamchampionship.com.

Palmer is fourth on the all-time PGA TOUR wins list with 62 victories. He has seven professional major titles. He won The Masters four times, the British Open twice and the U.S. Open once. He also won the U.S. Amateur in 1954.

Petty is one of only two drivers to win seven NASCAR Cup Series championships; the late Dale Earnhardt also won seven titles. Petty won 200 NASCAR races in his career, 95 more than the second-place driver, David Pearson.

The 2008 Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 11-17 in Greensboro, N.C. Tickets are available online at www.wyndhamchampionship.com or through the tournament office. August 11, 2008 - Replacements, Ltd. announces major building expansion project

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Replacements, Ltd. today announces major expansion plans to triple the size of the company’s main facility, which houses its corporate headquarters, showroom, museum and main warehouse.

“This really means a lot to me, especially when you consider I started this business in the attic of my home 27 years ago,” says owner and CEO Bob Page. “I feel extremely fortunate we’ve made sound business decisions that put Replacements in a position to grow and continue to provide jobs to nearly 550 people at a time when other companies are struggling in today’s tough economic climate.”

This marks the second expansion since the world’s largest supplier of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles moved into the company’s location at 1089 Knox Road in 1990. Replacements’ current space totals 415,800 square feet, including its main facility and three owned or leased satellite warehouses. Plans call to add more than half a million square feet to Replacements’ main building, which will allow the company to consolidate operations and create a working area of 750,000 square feet, roughly the size of 13 football fields.

“After reviewing our financial models, it’s very clear that it will be much more cost effective long-term to expand as opposed to continuing to lease additional warehouse space,” says company president Scott Fleming. “More importantly, we’re always looking for ways to improve our customer service and by being able to move all of our inventory under one roof we’ll have faster access to product and increase our efficiency, which is one of our top priorities.”

Fleming says the vast majority of additional space will be devoted to warehousing and inventory storage needs. Company leaders anticipate construction will start in early 2009 and should last about one year.

Founded by Bob Page in 1981, Replacements, Ltd. carries the world’s largest selection of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles. The company’s 415,000 square foot facilities house an inventory of more than12 million pieces from over 293,000 patterns. Headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., Replacements, Ltd. serves nearly ten million customers worldwide.
